**Director Digital Marketing - Sports & Racing (M/F/d)**

**Salary**: EUR 90.000 - 110.000 (Base)

**Location**:Hannover, Germany (Hybrid/Remote)

Leading player in the horse racing industry with strong international scope and reach is looking for a **Director Digital Marketing** **(M/F/d) **to lead and execute concept, implementation and optimization of the end-to-end digital marketing and analytics function in German speaking territories. The main focus of the role is the proactive and autonomous creation of the digital roadmap including web and app as well as programmatic to enable the company to ideally shape, leverage and monetize the user journey on and off the racetrack.

With sound knowledge in digital analytics and good track record in building and leading small teams for web and app areas as well as a good ability to manage stakeholders, consult senior leadership and a strong analytical mindset you have the opportunity to take this function to the next level. The goal is the integrated and all encompassing digitization of all marketing channels including search and social.

The company has exclusive rights and access to all marketing channels at the racetrack as well as streaming and results and is aiming at a highly personalized interaction of web and app with the real life goings on at the racetrack in real time. Ideally the following areas are considered when it comes to the long term implementation and leveraging:

- _ Streaming_
- _ Targeting, Customer Segmentation_
- _ Ticketing, Promotion, Betting technologies_
- _ User Tracking_
- _ Results and Analysis_
- _ Advertising and Affiliate Marketing_

The potentials with respect to programmatic are second to none given the availability of touch points spanning across anything from streaming, views, visitors to betting, ticket sales and more. The goal is an agile, fast and sustainable long term digital strategy that puts the focus on the user journey and combines online and offline marketing in a sensible way. Stakeholders and users include fans, visitors, sponsors, betting partners, organizers, associations and others.

**The Role**:

- Concept, implementation and execution of a digital analytics roadmap
- Media, Marketing, Tagging & Tracking, App Integration, Programmatic
- Consulting and analysis regarding areas of opportunity and general direction
- Act as point of contact for non technical stakeholders, company leadership and third party vendors
- Mentoring, leading and expanding the digital marketing team

**Your Profile**:

- Background in senior positions in digital-, social-, media-analytics
- Experience and/or affinity to sports industry, horse racing, sports betting, comparable
- Experience in web and digital analytics
- Good experience in project/program management and execution as well as monitoring
- Good analytical mindset, abstract and solution oriented thinking and excellent communication skills
- Fluent language skills in German and English
