**Role**_: _**This position is part-time.

The Student Community role is the hub for communication and connection for student activity outside the classroom - both online and in person. Whether that’s setting up meet-ups for students from different disciplines to find collaborators, helping them organise their own associations and events or preparing communication materials, this role is an active and integral part of the student experience. One of your first projects will be helping to implement a new internal communication platform, so an interest in communication trends and a proactive approach to solution finding is paramount. Our community comes from diverse backgrounds with eclectic interests and passions, while you bring an open and welcoming mind for new ideas and creative expression

**Accountabilities**
- Researching and understanding student communication trends and needs for an engaged community, and sharing that with the team.
- Implementing and administering multi-channel forums and pathways for students and faculty to communicate.
- Stimulating thoughtful discussion and boosting engagement within online forums, and moderating behaviour that falls outside our code of conduct.
- Planning in-person and online activities that connect students with students from other courses, years and disciplines, such as collaboration meetups.
- Supporting the academic team with planning, delivering and communicating extracurricular learning activities, such as field trips, student performances and internal-only guest speakers that fall outside the core events programme.
- Supporting the set-up and preparation of core school events and collaboration activities.
- Updating, maintaining and enhancing potential of communal notice boards, online & offline.
- Coordinating the creation and delivery of annual welcome packs for new & returning students.
- Being physically present for student enquiries and engaging with day to day community needs.
- Point of contact for students with events and activities related to academic assignments that fall outside of class time, and/or regular technician duties.
- Keeping track of students’ reception to events and opportunities.
- Catalysing student-run associations, events, workshops and gatherings.

**About You**

You may have many or all of these qualities/experiences:

- Friendly, warm & welcoming
- Experience in a communications or community coordination role is preferred.
- Proactive and organised with strong communication skills.
- Native-level written English plus fluent German preferred (any additional languages are a bonus).
- Social, open and approachable nature, and passionate about connecting people.
- Experience or interest in event planning and management.
- Knowledge of or interest in communication platforms and trends.
- Some experience with design programmes or working with designers.
- Passionate about creative arts
