ABOUT THIS ROLE
Based in Berlin, Audible is looking for a Producer, Original Content DE. In this position, you will be responsible for the editorial development & creation of Audible Original Podcast and Non-Fiction Audiobook Productions for our German marketplace. You will work with internal and external creatives, such as authors, editors and audio engineers, to create the best possible listening experience and commercial success for the productions.

As an integral part of the Originals team, your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the identification of Original content opportunities, franchises, and VIP partners in German with international appeal. You will leverage your knowledge of content trends and ability to translate them into mainstream entertainment in audio formats. Your role will involve working as an editor on original programs, such as story development for audio, script revisions and approvals, localizations, and incorporating customer feedback on previous episodes for audiobooks, audio dramas, or fictional podcasts.

Furthermore, you will own and improve the production, piloting, and feedback process for your Originals to assure internal and external quality and development feedback throughout the development process. This includes supervising creative localization efforts while working with flexible teams of local language producers. You will collaborate with other teams to ensure that all licenses and rights are contractually in place with content creators, including authors, agents, publishers, studios, and music licensing entities.

Playing a leadership role, you will guide internal and external content providers towards the elevation of our spectrum and belonging initiatives in our content programs, constantly improving the attractiveness of Audible as a content provider for the creative class in Europe. Additionally, you will provide all necessary information and materials to other Audible departments to maintain accurate release plans, content marketing initiatives, and information coordination.

As a Sr. Producer, Original Content, you will...
- Lead Audible Original projects, from ideation to release marketing to serve our German customers
- Bring knowledge of content trends and the ability to translate into mainstream entertainment in audio
- Contribute to the identification of Original content opportunities and content franchises in Germany and supervise all creative localization efforts into German language
- Work with our European Content Acquisition teams to ensure all licenses and rights are contractually in place with content creators (e.g., authors, agents, publishers, studios, music licensing, etc.)
- Work as an editor on original programs (e.g., story development for audio, script revisions and approvals, localizations, inclusion of customer feedback on previous episodes, etc.) - podcasts and audiobooks
- Own and improve the production, piloting & feedback process for your productions to assure internal and external quality and development feedback throughout the development process
- Lead internal & external vendors towards the elevation of our spectrum & belonging initiatives in our content programs and to constantly improve the attractiveness of Audible as content provider for the creative class

Basic Qualifications
- Professional Degree (Bachelors’ degree, MBA, M.A., M.S., or another post-graduate degree)
- 10+ years of media production experience with a focus on story telling (e.g., podcasting, journalism, spoken word, TV, film, radio or publishing)
- Business fluency in written and spoken English and German

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects & creatives at different stages in the development process in parallel
- Strong editorial skills (writing, editing and proofreading pitches, loglines, scripts) with focus on spoken word
