Are you ready to jump onboard? - We are now looking for a **Project Controlling Associate (M/F/d)** - to join our team working for a better future. - The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany. **What you will be doing**: - In your role as a **Project Controlling Associate** for Wärtsilä SAM Electronics GmbH, you will independently manage all commercial and business matters of up to medium-sized projects. - Additionally, you will support the improvement of our tools and processes and take on selected tasks in larger projects under the guidance of experienced Project Controllers. - As part of a professional well-established project controlling department (currently consisting of 10 team members), you will contribute to the transparency, accuracy and efficiency of our financial project processes. **As Project Controlling Associate your work will focus on these responsibilities**: - Full commercial responsibility from sales phase to warranty for small to mid-sized projects (typical project value: 0.5 to 10 Mio€). - Acting as key commercial contact for project managers, project teams, customers as well as other internal stakeholders. - Preparation of project forecasts (cash flow, costs, sales, profitability) and tracking of project-specific key performance indicators (KPIs), including variance analyses and project reports. - Support of project controllers in major projects (typical project value >30 Mio€), including: - Maintenance of project data in SAP in alignment with the project team. - Support in offer preparation, change and claim management (including review of calculation and commercial terms). - Invoicing, payment tracking and dunning. - Preparation of project reports. - Active contribution to the optimization of our project controlling processes and the enhancement of project controlling tools (e.g. Power BI, cost tracking, calculation). - As a key user for SAP, you will provide first level support on project controlling-related ERP topics to our team members. **To be successful in this role, we expect you to have**: - Completed commercial education (e.g. Industriefachwirt or business-related bachelor’s degree) or a comparable qualification - Ideally 1-2 years of relevant experience in project-related controlling - Solid knowledge of SAP and MS Office (especially Excel) - Strong numerical and analytical skills - A self-driven personality with the ability to work independently across multiple projects and multidisciplinary teams - Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken - Fundamental willingness to learn and grow professionally - Willingness to occasionally travel to your project sites (Approx. 5%) **Why you and us?** - We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility of our work.
