**Your key responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Shapes the Regional Medical Affairs strategy for a therapeutic area, in close alignment with Global / Local partner functions and business needs
- Executes Regional Medical Affairs activities according to Medical Plan
- Leads the design, conduct, analysis and publication of high quality Regional Medical Affairs data generation activities (incl. HEOR and RWE studies, registries, exploratory data analyses) in compliance with all relevant SOPs and regulations. Facilitates review and selection of Investigator Initiated Trial proposals
- Informs strategic direction with relevant Medical insights (unmet needs, treatment landscape evolution, etc.) by regular scientific exchange with external experts, conduct of advisory boards and deep scientific / medical therapeutic area expertise
- Plans and executes regional scientific communication activities such as congresses, scientific exchange meetings, Medical education activities, interactions with medical societies and patient organizations
- Facilitate execution of local Medical Affairs plans and acts as therapeutic area expert / sparring partner for local Medical Affairs teams
- Continuously aligns with partner functions at Global and Local level, such as Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Business Development, etc.
- Appropriately manages risk, and provides guidance and counsel to associates and stakeholders to assure all activities are conducted with the highest standards of ethics and compliance, and according to internal as well as external legal / regulatory requirements.
- Reviews and approves regional assets and materials
- Oversees / delivers relevant Medical training of Sandoz associates in the Region
- Is a member of the Europe Medical Leadership Team and actively drives the EMLT agenda

**Mindestanforderungen**

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- MD, PhD or PharmD is required; Additional business degree is an advantage
- At least seven years’ experience in Medical Affairs or similar function
- At least five years’ working experience in relevant therapeutic area
- Prior experience in a regional or country organization is desirable
- Business acumen and knowledge of the European market / healthcare landscape
- Strong strategic, analytical and project management skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in matrix organization
- Fluent English (oral and written) is required; Other European languages are an advantage
