***Purpose of the function**:
As Medical Director Scientific Communication in our European headquarters you have a key role in translating research into a tangible therapeutic area and product strategy, leading to introducing and establishing Daiichi Sankyo's products in cardiovascular portfolio into daily clinical practice.

***Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure seamless and best in class content is provided to and interpreted for cross-functional colleagues for the creation of suitable marketing campaign material, payor discussions and customer needs
- Proactive suggestions and development of compelling Medical narratives to be embedded in all materials by working in close alignment with the respective Medical Affairs Team members as well as in close collaboration with the Customer Experience (CX) and Omnichannel leads
- Translate (brand and cross-brand) overall Medical Communications strategy by leveraging insights to help develop Communications content for all relevant target channels and respective indications
- Define how Medical Content fits into the overall content strategy and actively manage the Medical Communications content to ensure it is up to date - complement the content the customer is exposed to along its journey
- You have oversight of scientific communication plan of congresses and other scientific events to ensure effective data dissemination
- Keeps up-to-date with the competitive landscape and can provide customer insight-based guidance with respect to competitor landscape and scenario planning
- Regular screening and analysis of Business Intelligence platforms and other sources of competitive insights
- Close, continuous collaboration with Market Insights colleagues

**Personal skills and professional experience**:

- University Degree in Medical Science / Master / or equivalent
- 8-11 years of experience
- Strong science background in combination with a digital/medical communication
- Previous experience in dyslipidemia and anticoagulation advantageous
- Strong external focus to the international scientific community, top level medical experts and all relevant stakeholders
- Experience in customer experience management
- Puts customer experience first
- Motivating, builds trust & rapport with team
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Strong communication & presentation skills
- Fluent English, additional EU language advantageous
- Excellent team player with an analytic, proactive and goal-oriented attitude
