Justplay is a worldwide gaming loyalty platform operator and publisher. Our purpose is to enable free-to-play mobile game players to get rewarded for their hobby. As our new General Legal Counsel, your mission will be to be the primary point of contact for a variety of legal topics (tax law, data privacy law, international ventures, corporate finance etc.) and entrusted with providing clarification on legal language to different stakeholders

Tasks
- You provide expert legal advice and guidance to different business units on a wide range of legal questions and matters
- You work closely with top management to assess and identify possible legal risks while providing pragmatic and legally sounded advice
- You own the contract control process and act as the primary point of contact for external and internal stakeholders when it comes to drafting, reviewing and maintaining crucial legal documents
- You ensure JustPlay remains compliant with the applicable data protection regulations within different jurisdictions (mainly EU and USA), including owning and further developing a compliance framework, e.g. setting up standards, guidelines, templates, internal processes etc.
- You support M&A transactions and contract negotiation
- You work closely with top management to assess and identify possible legal risks while providing pragmatic and legally sounded advice

**Requirements**:

- You completed a university degree in Law, as well as the first and second German state examinations
- You have at least 5+ years of experience in the legal field and a proven record of legal counselling experience in the business environment (ideally at international law firms or in the legal department of a multinational company)
- Ideally, you held a similar position as the main General Legal Counsel in a startup environment
- You are fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
- You have a high degree of autonomy and an independent work style
- This job opportunity can be based in Berlin or Munich and will be working on a hybrid model
