**Your responsibilities**
- You will develop a deep understanding of Uniper’s business, its value drivers, and the business environment
- You will learn from and collaborate with experts from many different fields, contribute your ideas and work on your own projects with various stakeholders
- You will start in Governmental Relations and rotate flexibly upon your individual career development path
- In Governmental Relations you will support and coordinate energy policy processes for Uniper, prepare and draft strategic assessments, position papers, presentations, memos and energy policy analyses
- Your focus of the first placement in Governmental Relations will be on establishing a thorough understanding of Uniper’s structures, activities and internal stakeholders
- You get many chances to build your external network to international, European, federal and state politics, corresponding administrations and other organizations

**Your profile**
- Successfully completed studies with a focus on economics, business, law or political science
- First relevant practical experience gained through internships and/or working student activities in the field of Governance & Politics, preferably within an energy-related context.
- Curiosity and openness to working in an international environment as integral team player
- Intercultural experience is crucial, experience abroad is a plus
- Sense of responsibility, proactivity and advanced interpersonal communication skills as well as a drive for continuous improvement with a hands-on mentality
- Excellent organizational and stakeholder management capabilities to achieve the best possible outcomes
- Analytical thinking and entrepreneurial thinking; ability to understand complex political and energy economical interrelations and to develop strategic responses from it
- Fluency of written and spoken German and English is required

During your 18- or 24-month traineeship at Uniper, you will get to know various divisions and gain valuable experience for your future. In addition to some predefined stations, you can flexibly combine other departments that you would like to pass through and work in an international environment with team members from over 80 countries. In coordination with your team and the requirements of your tasks, you can choose how, when and where you want to work.

Based in Germany, the program gives you a deep insight into our day-to-day business and helps you to explore your personal strengths. You will also have the opportunity to bring in and enhance your interpersonal and teamwork skills. Individual mentoring and a buddy from day one will ensure you have the best possible foundation for the next step in your career at Uniper. We are fortunate that, on average, more than 95 % of all trainees remain with our team after their program and take on an appropriate follow-up position.
