We are looking for a great Director of HR/Talent to join us bringing Northvolt to Germany. The role is based in Hamburg with an outreach to our planned gigafactory in Heide, Schleswig-Holstein. By joining us, you will be at the forefront of building a new company from scratch, growing Northvolt’s footprint in Germany and contribute to building one of the largest European battery factories.

The Director of HR/Talent will lead the people side of the German establishment. You will be setting and executing on the local people strategy and lead the local operations related to HR, training & workplace. Your mission is to ensure we successfully combine continuous growth with building an attractive local workplace with a strong safety-first culture.

You have solid experience in the field and have been driving innovative and challenging HR projects with high demands on both strategic and operational excellence. You will be responsible for establishing successful ways of working with collective agreements and managing union relations, so a deep understanding of such topics preferably from a manufacturing context is key. You will drive a massive scaleup journey, so we believe experience from startup or scaleup environment will help you be successful.

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Building a world leading HR operations (hire, lead and systems)
- Converting business strategies into HR operations, support Northvolt leaders to deliver on company goals and drive culture
- Designing and implementing policies that drive positive employee experience
- Ensuring legal compliance, collective bargaining agreements and bargaining processes being primary contact for general counsel concerning German employee relation matters
- Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, Talent and Succession planning, Employer Branding, Occupational health care processes etc

Full time employment, fixed salary.

Skills & Requirements

**We believe that you have**:

- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Law or any related fields
- Around 10 years of experience from HR and relevant manager roles
- Successful track record of scaling HR-operations in a fast growing environment ideally in the industrial/manufacturing industry
- Good knowledge of employment and labor law in Germany
- Knowledge and experience of payroll and HR-systems
- Curious, technically educated and with a strong business background
- Fluency in English and German
