Role purpose: Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (_VOIS) has businesses in Hungary, Romania Albania and Spain, Turkey ,India, Egypt, Germany, Ireland is a key element in Vodafone’s broader programme to transform, standardise and digitalise the management of various processes across commercial activities such as Customer Operations, Business, Corporate Functions, IT & Networks, and support functions such as Legal, Finance, HR, and the security teams. The _VOIS strategy is underpinned by the ‘safe, secure and compliant’ agenda which is its license to operate for serving Vodafone local markets and group functions. Senior Legal Counsel key role is seeking experience in a multi-national shared service environment, with the opportunity to develop legal, organizational and communication skills and to work with experienced lawyers in multiple jurisdictions. The role will be reporting to the Senior Legal Manager _VOIS EU. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel Germany a generalist inhouse cousel who is in addition specialized German and EU competition law to join our legal team based in Düsseldorf. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broader range of legal issues in market and across the EU, making it ideal for a growth-oriented professional with a strong legal background, broad skillset and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

**What you will do**
- Local country legal support regarding the daily ongoing legal matters relevant for inhouse counsel for _VOIS DE entity
- Provide expert advice on EU antitrust law matters across the VOIS organisation
- Develop and oversee joint venture protocols and information barriers
- Build strong relationship with senior and market-facing business units to offer behavioural legal advice
- Work closely with the Compliance & Business Integrity team to develop and roll out an organisation-wide competition law compliance programme
- Conduct compliance training and risk assessments
- Review agreements and in addition to the general review to ensure compliance with antitrust laws
- Handle any regulatory investigations and build strong external network in the antitrust community, including with regulators. Represent the company before regulatory authorities as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advise on a range of legal issues in Germany and the EU, including for example on disputes, intellectual property, employment, commercial and privacy law
- Participating _VOIS EU related legal project, amongst others supporting cross country agreements for all EU locations
- Keeping up to date with future changes in legislation regarding _VOIS DE, which could affect the operation of _VOIS EU (DE ) and working to enable _VOIS DE (to implement any required changes on time)
- Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align legal advice with business goals.
- Represent the company in interactions with external counsel, regulatory authorities, and third-party partners. Build a solid network of external legal advisors.

**What sets you apart**
- Full legal qualification
- Degree in law/ postgraduate qualifications in law from a reputable university.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in antitrust law, either in private practice or in-house.
- Strong knowledge of Local and EU competition regulations, regulatory practice and German and EU jurisprudence.
- Admission to the German bar.
- Potsgraduate diploma/ further study in Antitrust law a plus.

This position can be full-time or part-time (at least 30 hours).
