As a Senior Legal Counsel, your expertise will be paramount in helping our teams navigate legal complexities and mitigate risks associated with commercial agreements. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive legal counsel to various business units including Intermediates, Performance Materials, and Specialty Materials.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, with a focus on purchasing and sales contracts.
- Support management in all commercial legal matters and advise on strategic initiatives.
- Assess potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Stay updated with changes in legislation and legal precedents.
- Train commercial teams on relevant legal aspects to foster a culture of compliance and awareness.
- Work closely with external legal counsel for specialized legal matters as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Fully qualified lawyer with appropriate credentials (German and/or Dutch) and a solid academic background.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an international law firm or legal department of a multinational corporation.
- Proven experience in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Fluency in English, German, and ideally Dutch.
- Strong commercial awareness, particularly in the manufacturing or chemical industries.
- Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions and demonstrate a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex legal issues effectively.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Team-oriented with experience in a multicultural environment and a customer service mindset.
- Experience in competition law and data protection law is a plus.
- Familiarity with legal tech innovations is an added advantage.
