**Your Duties and Responsibilities**:
A ball is easy and fun to use without any instructions. Replacing a traditional ball with a robotic one that moves on its own unlocks a whole new range of experiences. The result is a blend of a training device and a social robot that anyone can operate intuitively. In project “Fizzy”, we are designing and developing a robot ball for rehabilitation and healthcare.
Your work will include:

- Support for the implementation of fundamental Machine Learning and Reinforcement learning algorithms for control of robot ball “Fizzy”
- Testing and debugging the code and maintaining docker environment
- Simulations using MuJoCo platform that is widely used in robotics and Machine Learning
- Support during the hands-on exercise sessions at the AI Summer School in September 2025, assisting participants with conceptual or coding challenges throughout the week

**What We Offer**:
The position is to be filled by 6/2/2025 and offered for a fixed term of 1 year.
The contract term can be limited at the applicant's request.
This is a part-time contract position.
The standard weekly hours will be 15 hours.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 14.50 euros per hour.
