**Tasks**:
Your daily responsibilities in the Editorial Research Intelligence department will be comprised of two components: research, including content database management, and editorial work - as detailed below:
**Research & content management tasks**:

- Conducting desktop research using secondary data sources on the global, North American, and European markets in energy and natural resources with a focus on the fossil fuels and/or the mining industry.
- Developing an understanding of valid data sources and potential data partners in the industry
- Active generation of interesting and engaging research topics for database development in close communication with the team lead and fellow editors
- Managing the SEO-optimized web content via the Statista Content Management System (CMS) in accordance with department goals and guidelines by monitoring usage and keeping the database up to date

**Editorial tasks**:

- Creating and maintaining a host of editorial products, including individual statistics, statistics reports (expanded data reports), as well as topic
- and industry-specific written reports
- Striving to develop an in-depth knowledge of your industry topics

**Requirements**:

- Successful completion of undergraduate studies (geography, geology, engineering, environmental studies, or related fields are an asset but not required)
- Exceptional written and spoken English skills—editorial experience in English is a bonus **(Please send us your CV and cover letter in English)**:

- Strong data literacy: the ability to describe complicated data in a concise and comprehensible manner
- Structured, organized, and independent working style with attention to quality, detail, and accuracy
- Knowledge and interest in fossil fuels, petroleum, mining, and energy industry trends
