We would like to invite you to join our Civil and Structural Team. As part of the wider central engineering function we support the global offshore wind business within RWE Offshore at all stages of the project life cycle. We work every day to build a renewable future, we continually raise the boundaries and set the standard amongst our peers.

**Your Tasks**
- Supporting the Civil & Structural team with a study on the steel used for offshore foundations. Initially answering the questions; What do we specify compared to what is supplied? How steel mill dependent is this? Are there savings to be made?
- Developing on into a steel comparison for selected EN vs. DNV grades with equivalent 355MPa, 420MPa, and 460MPa yield strengths. Calculating the sensitivity of the influence of DNV/EN spec on fatigue and ULS design.
- Creation of a Good Practice Guide, for implementation into future projects, on the topic of steel material selection and the relevant considerations identified in the above studies Assist the team with the definition and documentation of processes, the organization of the team sharepoint, and other minor ad-hoc administrative tasks

**Your Profile**
- Enrolled student in Civil, Mechanical, Materials or similar Engineering course
- A keen interest in materials properties and the use of materials offshore, especially steel
- Ideally previous experience in the field of Offshore Structural Engineering through internships or working student activities
- High level of initiative, reliability and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Professional communication skills and a confident manner
- Proven MS Office skills and the ability to quickly learn new IT tools Fluent English language skills
