The Vice President Innovation & Business Excellence (VP IBEX) is a key leadership role within AstraZeneca Germany. Reporting to the Country President Germany, the VP IBEX leads, directs, and motivates multiple teams of professionals that provide critical partnership, and strategic & operational support to all German Business Units (OBU, CVRM, R&I, V&I) as well as Medical in ensuring the successful delivery of business objectives.

Partnering cross-functionally, this role ensures that AstraZeneca Germany is disproportionately focused on the plans and projects that drive the most growth for AstraZeneca while bringing value to our customers and protecting our reputational and business risk.

The IBEX team has responsibility for coordination and management of business planning processes, operational excellence including sales force and marketing excellence, omnichannel transformation, management of business standards and controls, data governance, management and reporting, technical Omnichannel ecosystem (CRM) strategy and operations, sales force sizing and incentive compensation.

The VP IBEX is responsible to develop and drive critical initiatives focused on simplification, prioritization, and efficiency by identifying and establishing strategies, processes, or programs, to advance Business objectives.

The VP IBEX together with the IBEX team are the catalyst for driving the Digital Transformation within AstraZeneca Germany.

**Accountabilities**:
**Digital Innovation**:

- Key member of SMT Germany responsible to define and lead the strategy for Digital Commercial priorities.
- Champion commercial digital advancement and capabilities driving Digital Customer Engagement, Digital Health in service of improving patient care and outcomes.
- Delivering competitive advantage through the use of digital approaches, technology and tools to deliver tangible business impact and new value creation.
- Provide Senior MC Commercial Leadership with a clear lens to how the commercial business can leverage advances in technology and digital innovation through developing and deploying effective frameworks, governance and partnership standards.
- Defines and brings to life the digital strategic vision to express AstraZeneca’s values and redefine its business model for the digital age
- Defines and leads the digital strategic vision for Germany, integrating digital channels with more traditional parts of the business
- Anticipates future consequences from evolving technologies, patient needs & preferences and trends, seizes business opportunities and manages the challenges they present and sets a clear direction for change
- Transforms and leads the digital landscape internally and externally, determining where AstraZeneca needs to disrupt, transform, or innovate to build new competitive advantages through Digital
- Suggests and builds new digital capabilities that ensure AstraZeneca Germany is delivering innovative, dynamic, and sustainable solutions - creating a seamless and customer centric culture across all aspects of the business
- Assess the internal and external digital landscape for scaling of effective approaches to the business
- Act as a talent magnet to upskill existing and bring in new talent in the digital space
- Develop a framework and governance process that reduces the proliferations of digital partners to streamlines our partnership ecosystem

**Leadership**:

- Bring pioneering thinking and provide strategy, leadership, direction, and oversight to build and manage a successful Innovation & Business Excellence team that will develop and implement innovative and value-adding services and solutions to both patients and health care professionals
- Forge a new path, navigating and influencing key collaborators to constructively challenge current practice, conventional wisdoms, and accepted ways of doing things
- Create and lead ad-hoc strategic projects and processes to support local top-line and bottom-line growth

**Change Management**:

- Possess significant commercial, operational, and technological experience to support bridge building, integration, and collaboration - both locally and with the global AstraZeneca team so that initiatives are ali
