**Team Lead Senior Accountant (x/f/m) - remote role (**SellerX** offices in Berlin & London)**

**Please note, this role can be based in Berlin or London.**

**The Role**

An exciting opportunity to develop the existing accounting function, support the conversion from local GAAP to IFRS, and drive continuous process improvement.
You will onboard and integrate acquired entities into our reporting structure, establish and improve strong month end procedures, and provide technical accounting guidance to our finance teams. The successful applicant will thrive in a demanding environment, possess strong communication skills, and have an extensive knowledge of accounting requirements under local GAAP.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Implement and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual month end procedures for German entities
- Full ownership of the accounting results of German group entities
- Manage a team of experienced accountants
- Assess complex transactions from an accounting perspective
- Preparation of annual financial statements for individual entities
- Be the first point of contact for external accounting providers and tax consultants and help to bring all accounting in house
- Lead the audit of German entities
- Stay up-to-date regarding new standards and changes in regulations
- Support the Head of Accounting & Reporting with variance analysis on actuals versus budget and preparation of commentary
- Ongoing process implementation and improvements within NetSuite
- Support the first-time adoption of IFRS
- Support the implementation of accounting guidelines for the SellerX group
- Continuously improve processes and the quality of reporting

**What You Bring**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar in-house role with a background in audit or consulting
- Strong technical background, including statutory reporting requirements
- Extensive knowledge and experience of HGB
- Experience with common ERP systems/consolidation tools
- Fluency in English
