The Reederei F.Laeisz G.m.b.H., which is part of the F. Laeisz Group founded in 1824, is looking for a Technical Superintendent in Rostock/Hamburg for the dry cargo group for immediate employment.

F. Laeisz is a diversified family owned group of companies which has its main interests in shipping, trade and insurance. The diversification has been vital in the company’s long history and still today the group companies operate independently while the shipping related activities are the backbone of our group.

We are driven by our ambition to be a safe, sound, reliable and efficient maritime service provider to our clients. The environment and quality considerations play a key role in our service to the shipping industry. With a customised service we strive for long term relationships with our industrial clients, the public sector as well as third party management clients.

We are operating a diversified fleet of 26 vessels including Car Carriers (PCTCs), LPG/Ammonia Tankers, Container and Research vessels.

Tasks

Following tasks need to be performed by the Technical Superintendent:

- In charge of the technical day to day operation and maintenance of the

assigned vessels which includes the reliable and safe operation of all
technical systems according international and national rules
- Conducting regular inspections and assessments of assigned vessels
- Developing and monitoring the yearly budget
- Close communication with classification societies and flag state
- Motivation, briefing and guiding of Vessels Management
- Preparing reports which include maintenance status, technical events and

budgetary situation for assigned vessels
- Planning and carrying out repairs and regular drydocking’s
- Supporting Emergency Response Team in case of need

**Requirements**:
**Following Qualifications and Skills are required**:

- Experiences as Chief Engineer on oceangoing vessels are preferred
- Fluent speaking and written English skills
- Organized, structured working method and open communication
- Familiar with environmental rules and related technical equipment
- Knowledge in operation, maintenance of 2 - and 4 stroke engines
- Motivated team player with problem solving mindset
- Curiousness for optimizing the status quo within the work environment
