If successful in this position, you’ll become an integral part of one of the fastest-growing teams within Synergy. This position will be responsible for ensuring all assigned vessels are maintained in a safe and seaworthy condition. This role requires international travel.

**In this position you will be responsible for**
- Ensuring operations of allocated vessels is safe and economical
- Monitoring performance, technical and operational conditions of allocated ships
- Arranging for repairs and dry docking and oversee surveys, audits and vessel inspections
- Ensuring that the ships are fully certified according to international standards and requirements
- Preparing technical reports to owners in compliance with the management agreement
- Maintaining contact with Classification societies, trade associations, Government bodies, and other organizations
- Executing periodical inspection of vessels, formulating up-gradation plans and follow-up progress with the owners and the vessel

**What we need from you**
- A marine degree from a university, with a minimum of two years sailing experience or in the shipping industry, or holding a Chiefs Engineer's license with a minimum of 2 years sea service as a Chief Engineer, or has been in a position of Technical Superintendent with another shipping company for a minimum of two 2 years preferably on Bulk carriers
- Good knowledge of the marine industry and applicable regulations
- Knowledge of charter party terms and of agency network
- Knowledge about purchasing and budget cost control
- Excellent communication skills in English

Role will be based out of Hamburg branch.
