**Sr. Compliance Officer (M/F/d)**

We're looking for a skilled and proactive Sr. Compliance Officer with exceptional regulatory knowledge to develop and refine our regulatory strategies. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with our Chief Legal and Compliance Officer to shape policies, streamline processes, and strengthen our compliance framework.

**You will**:

- Support the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer in developing an appropriate compliance and risk awareness culture at Moonfare
- Implement adequate monitoring, surveillance, and control frameworks to prevent and detect compliance and reputational risks
- Advise all areas of Moonfare on compliance topics; in particular, provide opinions on non-compliance and reputational risks linked to new products and services
- Monitor external service providers in relation to compliance duties
- Ensure Moonfare's adherence to all required laws and regulations, with a focus on investment services and their relevant regulations, such as; MiFID II, WpHG, WpIG, MaRisk and MaComp
- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Assess regulatory requirements and create necessary documentation in collaboration with the wider global compliance team
- Provide regulatory training and self-help materials to support business compliance efforts
- Prepare, plan, and coordinate regular external audits in alignment with the compliance team

**The next Moonfarian**:

- 5-8 years experience in regulatory compliance within financial services, Private Equity, or a related field
- Has a Legal or Compliance degree or similar
- Has deep knowledge of WpHG, MiFID II, WpIG and associated regulatory frameworks and their German implementation into local law
- Has demonstrated expertise in driving organisational change and ensuring robust compliance amidst evolving regulatory environments
- Has significant knowledge of control techniques and knowledge of compliance risk management and analysis
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & German
- Has excellent project management and decision-making skills
- Is client-focused with strong conflict resolution abilities
- Has the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the organisation
- Has proven experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
