**Job Description** Staff function People & Culture is looking for a new Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist within Vattenfall.**

Vattenfall is looking for the right person to fill the position as Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist Germany. The position reports to the Director Compensation & Benefits. The main responsibility for Compensation & Benefits is to develop and drive the Compensation & Benefit agenda for Vattenfall. The Compensation & Benefits team consists of, in addition to the Director C&B, Country leads for Sweden, Germany and The Netherlands respectively and C&B Specialists, all in all 14 persons.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**

In your role you will provide guidance and expertise on key compensation and benefits matters to ensure our company remains competitive for talent attraction, engagement and retention. You will collaborate with HR and Business leaders to ensure the implementation and management of compensation and benefits programs (e.g. ASR/STI) in Germany consistent with the global C&B strategy and key business needs. As member of the International Vattenfall team of Compensation & Benefits, you also will participate in various projects. Together with the People Service organization you ensure smooth and efficient processes to improve our “ways of working”.

One important part of the role and the C&B team in Germany is to secure together in alignment with other departments (e.g. Legal) compliant processes for reward elements for Executives (incl. Managing Directors) and their corresponding terms and conditions.

**Key deliverables and activities**:

- Contribute to the development within the group wide C&B area, being a vital part of the C&B community.
- Accountable for developing and implementing Germany specific policies within C&B.
- You will have a strong focus on Executive Compensation incl. design of terms & conditions, management of contracts, therefore you give advice on compensation and benefits related matters.
- You steer the possible adjustment of contract templates, policies & spokesman committee agreements.
- You are able to support the process for preparing draft resolutions, presentations and other documents for the German Supervisory Board considering terms & conditions for Executive and Managing Directors.
- Strong cooperation with the other members of the C&B team to drive the total reward strategy by contributing to group standards and translation of global policies into local regulations considering the guideline for a Swedish state-owned company.
- Keeping yourself up to date with current regulations and monitoring changes in the compensation and benefit area in the EU & Germany, translate them into concrete actions (e.g. EU Pay Transparency Directive).
- Co-operate with HR managers and other internal stakeholder to understand their business demands and to develop solutions.
- Develop compensation & benefits trainings for HRBPs and other target groups in Vattenfall as well as communication of reward policies and processes to ensure its proper execution.
- Furthermore you contribute to seamless and efficient processes and well accepted “ways of working” within the People & Culture organization in alignment with the Shared Service organization and other stakeholders.
- Analysis of different data sets to draw conclusions on effectiveness of existing and new reward elements including the provision of reporting information in cooperation with People Analytics.
- Close and good cooperation with the speaker’s committees of “Leitende Angestellte” (“Sprecherausschuss”).
- Delivery of C&B input to Industrial Relations for negotiations with unions and work councils.

**Qualifications** Your profile**
- You are familiar with various types of reward schemes & processes.
- You are very familiar with Executive remuneration, their terms, conditions and remuneration reports.
- You have experience in the German labor law field or in the area of compensation & benefits, ideally both.
- Experience in instructing shared service organizations (e.g. benefit & pension plan implementations).
- You have a hands on mentality and can work independently and you are not afraid to gets hand dirty.
- You voluntarily share information across departments to empower others.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability for detail orientation.
