The position
We are currently looking for a Financial Controller for our Corporate Finance team, Central Europe Cluster. Our new Financial Controller will be responsible for the entities in the Netherlands, Poland, and Austria.
Together with local experts (e.g for payroll and tax), you will be responsible for the overall accounting, period end closing activities, financial controlling and reporting of these sales and service entities. Depending on your skills, experience and preferences, you can take on responsibility in our current project to globally rollout SAP S/4 HANA. Initially, you will work with the current version of SAP ERP.
Primary responsibilities
Within the team, that is currently located in Germany (Darmstadt) and Portugal (Porto), your daily work includes:
- Calculate and post monthly provisions as per communication with business, e.g. HR department.- Month end closing activities in our SAP ERP system, or with external accounting firm (Poland).- Monthly Reporting for HBK Group consolidation- Analysis of P&L and B/S positions in comparison to Plan or Last Year- Ensure that statutory financial requirements in the jurisdiction are met (yearend audit, tax reporting etc.)- Improvement and alignment of processes and data in preparation for rollout of our new SAP S/4 HANA system.- For other jurisdiction covered by the Central European Finance team, you will be able to support colleagues during vacation, or as a development perspective.
Professional qualifications
You have a decent experience in Accounting and Financial Controlling of an European legal entity. You are familiar with the IFRS standards.
Personal skills- You work independently and self-motivated, especially in context of optional remote work- You have good analytical skill- You are able to work in a complex environment- You are fluent in English language- Language skills in one of the countries within your responsibility are an advantage.
