We deliver the graphene solutionThe RoleBlack Semiconductor is looking for a highly skilled Senior Process and Equipment Engineer – CVD (f/m/d) to join our growing team in Aachen, Germany. This role will be critical in designing, developing, and optimizing deposition processes while ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CVD, ALD, and metal deposition within a semiconductor fabrication environment and a strong focus on process improvement and collaboration. Furthermore, someone who is highly motivated to learn and grow, independent yet collaborative, flexible in approach, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentTo join our team, you should be excited toDesign, develop, and optimize CVD, ALD, and metal deposition processes to meet specific performance and yield targetsProvide technical expertise in the operation and troubleshooting of deposition equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing process efficiencyCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including equipment engineers and process technicians, to implement improvements and upgrades to deposition systemsConduct process qualification and characterization, analyzing data to ensure processes are robust, repeatable, and continuously improvedDevelop and maintain documentation related to process recipes, parameters, and equipment performance, ensuring compliance with industry standardsMentor junior engineers and technicians, sharing insights into best practices for deposition processes and equipment usageStay current with emerging technologies and advancements in CVD, dielectric, and metal deposition techniques to continuously enhance our manufacturing capabilitiesYour QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferredMinimum 5+ years of experience in equipment and process engineering focused on CVD, dielectric, and metal deposition within a semiconductor fabrication environment (FAB)Proven expertise in deposition process development and optimization, including CVD, or PVD techniquesStrong data analysis skills, with proficiency in process control methodologies (e.g., SPC) tailored to deposition processesExcellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing process inefficienciesStrong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and provide training to staffKnowledge of safety and regulatory standards relevant to semiconductor manufacturing processes, particularly concerning deposition technologiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentOur work culturePeople Over Processes. At Black Semiconductor, flexibility is key—we ensure work adapts to life, not the other way around.
