The Role

Black Semiconductor GmbH is currently looking for an experienced Senior Process and Equipment Engineer - ALD (f/m/d). This role is essential for developing and implementing new production processes, contributing to the innovation and efficiency of semiconductor manufacturing

In this role you will design, optimize and develop ALD, dielectric and metal deposition processes, directly enhancing our semiconductor manufacturing capabilities

Design, develop, and optimize ALD, dielectric, and metal deposition processes to meet specific performance and yield targetsProvide technical expertise in the operation and troubleshooting of deposition equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing process efficiencyCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including equipment engineers and process technicians, to implement improvements and upgrades to deposition systemsConduct process qualification and characterization, analyzing data to ensure processes are robust and repeatable, with a focus on continuous improvementDevelop and maintain documentation related to process recipes, parameters, and equipment performance, ensuring compliance with industry standardsMentor junior engineers and technicians, sharing insights into best practices for deposition processes and equipment usageStay abreast of emerging technologies and advancements in ALD, dielectric, and metal deposition techniques to continuously enhance our manufacturing capabilities

Your Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus5+ years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on ALD, dielectric, or metal deposition Proven experience in semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) ideally with 300mm silicon wafer surface area Understanding of deposition processes and techniques, including ALD, CVD, and PVD, and their applications in semiconductor manufacturingStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and use it to drive decision-making in process developmentExcellent communication and teamwork abilities, with an eagerness to collaborate with cross-functional teams and learn from experienced professionalsFamiliarity with safety and regulatory standards related to semiconductor manufacturing processes A proactive approach and willingness to tackle challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced settingExcellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
