EMEA Tax Manager, Strategic Tax & ControversyWe are looking for a highly talented and motivated Tax Manager to join our to support our EDS EMEA Tax Lead.This is a truly unique opportunity to work on global transactions, planning opportunities, and controversy issues throughout EMEA that drive significant value. You’ll be joining a highly skilled team working with senior operational and functional leadership around the world. A great way to accelerate your career and participate in the evolution of the automotive industry with an well positioned company.Your Role:Develop effective planning opportunities and controversy resolution strategies.Research complex (international) tax and transfer-pricing issues.Draft internal memos, analysis, and financial models.Translating data from a range of sources into insights and deliverables.Building effective long-term relationships with our business teams and external advisors.Communicating complex tax issues to our business teams, tax auditors, and courts.Interest in the technology automotive industry is a plus.Your Background:Minimum of 5 years of work experience, ideally 5-7 years’ experience in a professional advisory tax organization (Big 4 or law firm is a plus). Specifically experience in one or more of the following areas:Tax Controversy matters, and / orInternational Tax,Transfer Pricing,Tax Accounting,Operating Model Efficiency, Value Chain Transformation, or similar global supply chain structuring teams a plus. A tax advisor or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essentialFamiliarity with US GAAP, IFRS, and statutory accounting standards a plus. A degree in law, finance, business administration, economics, accounting or similar is preferred.Ability and interest in global travel and operating in a fast paced environment.Candidates must be authorized to work in Germany.Demonstrated written and oral communication or presentation skill highly valued. Familiarity and ability to use excel, ppt, and word required; SAP awareness positive.Why join us?You can grow at Aptiv.
