Electronics Technician – Robotics Systems support

About the roleWe are seeking a driven technician with proven hands-on experience in soldering, desoldering, wiring and troubleshooting tasks. In this role, you will support and maintain existing products to ensure they remain fully operational, while continuously improving the reliability and robustness of complex robotic systems.Success in this role requires both technical excellence and the ability to adapt and make decisions under uncertainty.Your ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the robotics systems are ready to be used at all timesCreate detailed CAD models, technical drawings, and assembly documentation for testing rigs or needed componentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to ensure seamless system integrationMaintain Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and quality control documentation, support and creation of SOPsTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during development and production phasesStay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in robotics and mechanical/electronics designPerform assembly and disassembly of robots/robots’ components, mechanical parts, and PCBsCarry out soldering, desoldering, wiring, and basic troubleshooting tasks (e.g. oscilloscope)Support procurement activities by identifying suitable products which meet requirements, sourcing suppliers, and obtaining quotationsOpen to travel to China for business tripsCollaborate with Chinese colleagues on technical tasksWork autonomously on open-ended, evolving tasksEssential SkillsMinimum 3-5 years of proven work experience in related fieldsExperience in robotics, mechatronics, or automation industriesBackground in designing articulated systems with multi-DOF (degrees of freedom)Familiarity with lightweight and high-strength materials (carbon fiber, composites, aluminum alloys)Knowledge of dynamic sealing solutions for moving parts in harsh environmentsExperience on integration of electromechanical components (actuators, sensors, bearings, gears, etc.) for optimal performance in robotsKnowledge of structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis to validate designsProficiency in SolidWorks (3dx) /AltiumProficiency in English, Spoken and writtenStrong knowledge of mechanical design principles (kinematics, dynamics, material selection)Knowledge of actuators and sensors using robotics, familiarity with sensor integration (force/torque sensors, encoders, IMUs)Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting)Hands-on experience with soldering SMD componentsAble to find fast solutions to common problemsWhat we offerDynamic high-tech startup combined with financial soundness and world-class investorsChallenging tasks and projects for your professional growth, with an open-minded environment for creativity and personal developmentCorporate benefits program that covers health, sports, mobility and language coursesGreat working environment in an interdisciplinary, international teamAbout usAgile Robots SE is an international high-tech company based in Munich, Germany with a production site in Kaufbeuren and more than 2300 employees worldwide.
