Your Team The department serves as a center of excellence for CFO actuarial topics, offering guidance on profitability and ensuring the company's future security. Our mission is to deliver transparent, timely, and independent actuarial opinions with integrity, competence, and care, while upholding professional standards and fostering personal growth within the team. In this role within the actuarial department, you will contribute to preparing actuarial inputs for monthly and quarterly financial closings and reservings, which feed into the company's balance sheet and profit and loss statements. You will utilize software to perform actuarial calculations and assist in forecasting financial positions to anticipate future closing outcomes. Some of your specific responsibilities could include:• Conduct detailed actuarial analyses to support pricing strategies, reserving, and financial forecasting, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, finance, and risk management, to develop and refine actuarial models and methodologies.• Prepare and present comprehensive actuarial reports and insights to senior management, providing recommendations to enhance profitability and risk mitigation• Utilize advanced actuarial software and tools to perform complex calculations and simulations, contributing to the accuracy and reliability of financial projections.• Monitor industry trends and emerging risks, integrating findings into actuarial practices to maintain competitive advantage and support strategic decision-making. What You’ll Bring to the Role• Completion of a Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative discipline required (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics) • Computer Skills, Microsoft Office and VBA (recommended)• Finance and Insurance 'know-how'• Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary• Quantitative Financial and Risk Modelling skills (i.e. data analysis)• Able to adapt and work effectively in different situations and remain calm under pressure• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Have a pro-active and positive attitude to team work, able to assist others and also take on your own responsibilities• A curious and creative mindset, willingness to learn and enthusiasm to own and drive your personal development.• Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study or examine data in detail, draw appropriate conclusions and present solutions to others.• Good computer skills, including MS/Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential. • Fluent English language skills If this role sounds appealing and suited to your profile, please submit an application to join our talent pool.
