ABOUT USAt tozero, we are building Europe’s first industrial-scale battery recycling plants to regenerate critical raw materials like lithium and graphite. We’ve proven our tech in the lab, scaled it in our pilot, and are now constructing our first-of-a-kind (FOAK) commercial demonstration plant.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORAs our HR & TA Manager, you will manage the HR function, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting employees, and helping build a high-performing team committed to driving lithium-ion battery waste to zero.You will work closely with domain owners and manage HR processes that support recruitment, onboarding, administration, and employee development.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTHR OperationsOwn HR processes and ensure they run efficiently and effectively.Manage employee records, including leave, sick time, and contracts.Facilitate access to internal resources, such as HR guidelines, tools, and Wiki content.Track HR metrics and report key data to senior management.Support employees with immigration, relocation, and arrival in Munich.Recruiting & HiringOwn the full recruitment process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.Draft, refine, and proofread job descriptions.Post job openings to relevant channels and search resume databases for candidates.Evaluate applicants to ensure they meet position requirements.Support new hires through onboarding and relocation processes.Employee Experience & Office OperationsOwn onboarding sessions for new employees.Organize team-building activities, company events, and HR-led initiatives.Take ownership of office operations and administrative tasks that enhance the workplace.Training & DevelopmentOrganize and deliver training sessions for employees.Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues, including employee relations cases and grievances.Your profileExperience: Hands-on HR experience in a fast-paced startup environment.Motivation: Show us why you’re excited about this role and our mission.Languages: Excellent communication skills in German; fluency in English.HR Expertise: Strong knowledge of HR systems, metrics, labor law, and immigration procedures.Growth Mindset: Willingness to learn and improve every day.Collaborative: Flexible and enthusiastic team player.Proactive Attitude: Ability to prioritize, take ownership, and get things done.Enthusiasm: Enjoy administrative tasks and initiatives that enable colleagues.Coachability: Open to feedback, new ideas, and continuous improvement.Resilience: Maintains composure, decisiveness, and effectiveness under high pressure, navigating complex HR situations and sensitive employee matters with confidence.Mission-Driven: Genuine passion for a future with zero lithium-ion battery waste.Why us?Be at the forefront of financing Europe’s clean industrial revolution.Shape the capital structure of the first battery recycling FOAK plant and future commercial plants.Competitive compensation + VSOP.International, ambitious, and mission-driven team.About usWelcome to tozero, Europe's leading deep-tech startup in the recycling of lithium-ion batteries.
