Charlotte Consolidated Accounting Office - HICLocation: 6030 East Independence Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28212Summary: The Accounting Clerk is responsible for computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records.Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following: Compile appropriate information in order to file the 8300 formEnsure all 8300s are filed with the IRS timely for the stores assignedEnsure compliance with all 8300 lawsReview daily 8300 reports for each storeEnsure that all documents for the 8300 are uploaded into BoxEnsure that notification letters are mailed out to customers in accordance with 8300 lawReconciles report discrepancies and problems.Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and servicesQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong organizational skills required.Certificates and Licenses:o Valid Driver’s Licenseo Automobile Salesperson LicenseComputer Skills:Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Ability to learn the Dealership Management System, Spreadsheet software, accounting software, and inventory software.Communication Skills:Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with company personnel.Attendance Expectations:The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and some holidays.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.Environment Demands:Duties are performed primarily at a desk in an office setting. Work includes frequent clerical and administrative responsibilities and interaction with managers and employees.Verbal and Writing Ability:Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
