The role accounts and reports the Corporate Carbon Footprint, ensuring compliance to external and internal standards. The role maintains, monitors, and improves our greenhouse gas accounting models and actively contributes to Vitesco Technologies’ Sustainability Report and Non-financial Statement.
Your new responsibilities:
- Collect primary and secondary data for the accounting of the corporate carbon footprint and administrate the reporting tool
- Maintaining and improving scope 3 greenhouse gas emission calculation methodology
- Selection of suitable emission factors and modelling of emission factors with life-cycle-assessments
- Steer cross functional data collection team and steer external assurance process of the corporate carbon footprint
- Ensure continuous improvement of corporate carbon footprint
- Contribute to policies, processes, and global internal standards in the field of greenhouse gas accounting and reporting
- Perform analysis of corporate carbon footprint and prepare improvement measures
- Research policies, trends, legal regulation, and best practices related to greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and reporting
Your profile:
- University degree in Sustainability, Energy Management, Environmental Science, or related fields
- Long-term professional experience in the field of greenhouse gas accounting in a corporate environment or in a consulting context, in the automotive area desirable
- Expert knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, scope 3 modelling, life-cycle-assessment, international carbon accounting standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, SBTi, GRI, CSRD, etc.)
- Experience in managing global projects and networks as well as in collecting and analyzing complex data
- Experience in working with international and intercultural teams and businesses
- Business fluent English and German language skills written and spoken
- Communication and networking skills as well as analytical and problem-solving skills
