Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Director to drive the success of our retail channel strategy in Germany. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering commercial goals and shaping business strategies.The Commercial Director will be responsible for owning the sales forecast, gross margins, trade spends, promotional budgets, and revenue targets per customer.This role requires strong negotiation skills, ability to develop and execute differentiated strategies for each retailer, and lead a team of National Account Managers and Key Account executives.The successful candidate will also build strong relationships with top retailer partners and contribute to wider Germany sales success as a key member of the leadership team.Key ResponsibilitiesChannel Ownership: Full commercial ownership of the Grocery and Discount channels in Germany.Customer Strategy: Develop and execute differentiated strategies for each retailer, aligned with broader commercial goals.Negotiation Excellence: Lead annual negotiations with local and regional customers including buying groups.Retailer Relationships: Build strong, trust-based partnerships with top retailer partners.P & L Management: Own the sales forecast, gross margins, trade spends, promotional budgets and revenue targets per customer.Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop a team of National Account Managers and Key Account executives.Contribute to wider Germany sales success as a key member of leadership team undertaking wider leadership projects, deputising for Senior Sales Director as required.RequirementsAn outstanding track record of success in sales (Mass and/or Discount channel is ideal, but not a must) with a minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience at senior leadership level.Strong track record in negotiations, listing wins, trade spend management & market share growth.Demonstrated success in both strategic planning and perfect execution.Proven experiences with people development.International experiences will be an advantage.About UsOur company is a leading player in the retail industry, dedicated to delivering exceptional results and building long-term relationships with our customers.
