About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety Specialist to join our team at Procter & Gamble. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with German regulations and our corporate requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies: Create and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures that align with German regulations and our corporate requirements.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Investigations: Conduct thorough risk assessments and investigations to identify and mitigate workplace hazards, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead Health and Safety Training Programs: Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs for new and existing employees, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness throughout the organization.
  • Develop and Implement Environmental Policies: Develop and implement robust environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and our corporate requirements.
  • Manage Waste Disposal and Recycling: Monitor and manage waste disposal, recycling, and promote environmental impact reduction initiatives, conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure all operations meet sustainability goals.
  • Develop and Implement Emergency Response Plans: Develop and implement effective emergency response plans and procedures, leading by example and demonstrating a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.
  • Provide Leadership and Direction: Provide strong leadership and direction to health and safety team members and other staff, building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Previous Experience in a Similar Role: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector, with in-depth knowledge of German HSE regulations and standards.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to influence, engage, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership and Organizational Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent Language Skills: Fluency in English and German is a must.
