Credit Risk Analyst

At Uniper, we are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team in Düsseldorf. As a key member of our Risk Management team, you will be responsible for assisting with the credit risk execution and authorization process related to energy derivatives, renewables, and certificates.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate the credit risk exposure evaluation of new products and transactions, ensuring consistency with our credit risk policies and procedures.
- Identify and document business requirements and specifications for credit risk related process and systems enhancements, collaborating with the IT team and Market Risk team to ensure timely delivery and testing.
- Provide support and training to users of the credit risk related process and systems, resolving any issues or queries that may arise.
- Prepare and maintain documentation and reports related to the credit risk product approvals process, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product approvals managers, credit risk analysts, and other business units to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in credit risk analysis, preferably in the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of validation of energy derivatives and renewables, and credit risk exposure evaluation methodologies, process, and regulation framework.
- Proficient in credit risk related process and systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel, VBA, SQL, and other programming languages.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
