About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantitative Risk Analyst to join our team at EWE TRADING GmbH. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for supporting the management of risks for our energy trading business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of risks for our energy trading business in close partnership with our trading desks.
- Develop and implement concepts and methods for risk management in close cooperation with our Analysis and DevOps teams.
- Support the evaluation and development of new trading strategies and products.
- Provide ad-hoc analyses and evaluations as needed.
- Ensure the reporting, enhancements, and maintenance of our trading system.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in mathematics, physics, business mathematics, or business information systems, or equivalent experience in the energy, finance, or insurance sector.
- Strong skillsets in modelling, implementing, and applying stochastic models, preferably in the energy, finance, or comparable sectors.
- Good programming skills, preferably in Python.
- Familiarity with the energy business and PPA products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
