Risk Management Specialist

At Bishop GmbH, we are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team in Bremen, Germany. As a key member of our Enterprise Risk Management & Internal Control team, you will be responsible for preparing, organizing, and performing bi-annual risk reviews for assigned directorates in line with our ERM process. This will enable an independent view and transparency on the risk/opportunity situation.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the respective ERM activities, update the company risk register, and actively follow-up implementation of risk mitigation plans to reduce/close risk.
  • Conduct tests of internal control points and provide support to tests performed as self-assessment in all processes that contribute to accounting and financial information to assess conformance and confirm their reliability.
  • Document findings and issue recommendations for improvements and monitor their implementation.
  • Provide guidance to affiliates on all ERM and IC topics, ensure regular reporting through quarterly progress meetings, and monitor bi-annual risk registers and results of IC campaigns.

Requirements:

  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • High level of assertiveness.
  • German and English: fluently.
  • French is a plus.
  • Occasional trips could be required.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Comparable qualification at least Bachelor's degree or Industrial engineer at least Bachelor's degree or Completed finance degree - at least 2 years.

Professional Experience:

  • Controlling at least over 4 years.
  • Finance at least over 4 years.
  • Risk management - at least 2 years.
  • Documentation - at least 2 years.

IT:

  • MS Office at least knowledge of detailed functions.
  • SAP at least knowledge of detailed functions.

Language Skills:

  • German at least business fluent.
  • At least business fluent in English.
  • French would be a plus.
