We serve over 360 customers with service and pool vehicles, as well as users, and have a team of more than 120 tech and mobility enthusiasts in Munich and Alzenau.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our microservices-based architecture. As a key player in our Backend Community of Practice, you will have the opportunity to influence the platform's direction and impact customers, stakeholders, and your fellow team members.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop scalable and efficient backend systems using Java 8+ and Spring Boot
- Implement REST APIs and Kafka events to connect with multiple clients and integrations
- Collaborate with the team to drive the development of key features within a specific value stream
- Contribute to the development of our decentralized architecture and modern, state-of-the-art technologies
- Participate in agile software development methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) and ensure adherence to best practices (clean code)
- At least 3 years of experience in Java Web Development
- Proficiency in English
- Experience with agile software development methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban)
- Strong understanding of software design principles and a commitment to best practices (clean code)
- Experience with modern, state-of-the-art technologies and decentralized architecture
- Knowledge of Java 8+ and Spring Boot
- Experience with various forms of testing (unit testing, e2e testing, component testing)
- Experience with databases and messaging systems like MySQL, Redis, and Kafka
- Experience with REST APIs and Gradle
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
