We're seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Developer to join our team at CARSYNC GmbH, a leading provider of business mobility solutions. As a key member of our development team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of mobility by driving the development of our microservices-based architecture.

Your expertise in Java Web Development, combined with your experience in agile software development methodologies, will enable you to contribute fresh ideas and influence the platform's direction. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop key features within our microservices-based architecture
  • Build connections with multiple clients and integrations using REST APIs and Kafka events
  • Collaborate with the team to drive the development of our platform
  • Contribute to the development of our Backend Community of Practice
Requirements

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Experience with Java 8+ (we use 17, but knowledge of 8 would be sufficient)
  • Proficiency in Spring Boot
  • Experience with various forms of testing (unit testing, e2e testing, component testing)
  • Knowledge of databases and messaging systems like MySQL, Redis, and Kafka
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Gradle
  • CI/CD pipelines
