About the Role

As a Procurement Specialist for Commodity Management at expertum GmbH, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and managing commodities for our esteemed client, Airbus. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the sourcing activity for commodities, managing tendering and contract negotiation to achieve the best purchasing conditions in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Participate in Multifunctional Multidivisional teams throughout the tendering, contracting, and contract life cycle phases, adopting a trans-national and trans-divisional approach that considers the worldwide scope of the entire Group.
  • Contribute to Airbus Customer Services' competitiveness in close cooperation with the Multi-Functional Team.
  • Implement and ensure the application of the engineering services procurement strategy to customers in accordance with established processes.
  • Monitor contracts with suppliers, ensuring they deliver expected performance in all areas, including logistics, support, quality, and costs.
  • Manage daily professional and trustworthy relationships with suppliers, executing projects to optimize Airbus value while minimizing total cost of ownership and risks, and adhering to the company's ethics and compliance standards in all dealings.
  • Analyze the supplier landscape.
  • Prepare decision meetings and coordinate activities, consolidating information.
  • Exchange best practices, implement projects, and deliver procurement contributions to transformation initiatives.
  • Manage risk activities (e.g., assessment, reporting) for the area of responsibility.
  • Build efficient, consistent, and trusting relationships with key stakeholders and align suppliers in the area of responsibility, aggregating information for procurement leaders.
  • Negotiate, establish, and implement national and trans-national frame contracts.
  • Manage contracts with contract reviews with Airbus internal customers and suppliers, evaluating and improving supplier performance in terms of time, costs, and quality, and ensuring contractual agreements are up-to-date and compliant with Procurement Policies.
  • Contribute to business case development (including validation of procurement baseline) and ensure savings reporting in line with the requirements of Airbus Group and/or divisional savings programs.
  • Provide rules and process information to Business Operations to ensure correct execution of transactional procurement activities to full customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Completed studies in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in procurement, supplier management, and/or contract management.
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office and SAP.
  • Minimum good German and negotiation-secure English skills.
