About the Role

The Cloud Data Center Service Senior Specialist will play a key role in managing strategic data center related projects or workstreams within programs to success. This includes leading service execution of selected data center services (operations) and supporting the improvement of data center related services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage strategic data center related projects or workstreams within programs to success
  • Lead service execution of selected data center services (operations)
  • Support the improvement of data center related services
  • Work closely with technical and business experts from GCID Data Center and Infrastructure Lifecycle Services team as well as from GCID +1 infrastructure platform team, Controlling, Procurement and SAP's Cloud application Lines of Business

Requirements

  • 5-10 years experience in IT, ideally in Cloud services
  • Interest for data center and infrastructure technology
  • Experience in project management and having lead projects in a content driven way
  • Experience with creating business cases
  • Preparation of upper management and executive decisions
  • Proven English and German language skills

About the Team

The Global Cloud Infrastructure & Delivery (GCID) team is the core of SAP's Cloud Strategy and its execution. Within GCID, the DLS unit is responsible for operating SAP Cloud data centers and delivering Infrastructure Lifecycle services in and around the data centers. It includes next to data center services, Infrastructure HW supply and decommission chain and environmental sustainability. The team operates ~40 data centers around the globe.
