Financial Accountant (m/f/d) Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant (m/f/d) to join our Finance team at Paul Wurth / Paul Wurth Geprolux. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records and reports.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial Accounting: Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in accordance with Lux GAAP / IFRS regulations.
  • Payment Transactions: Monitor and implement national and international payment transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Tax and VAT Returns: Assist with the preparation of tax and VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Liaising with Third Parties: Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, banks, and other third parties, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of budget, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or comparable degree.
  • Experience: VAT experience is considered an advantage.
  • Skills: Flexibility, autonomy, and high level of responsibility. Good communication skills. Structured and conscientious way of working. SAP / Excel experience is considered an advantage.
  • Language: Fluent in English and German; Luxemburgish and/or French are considered an advantage.
