Accountant Job Description

Manpower Luxembourg S.A. is recruiting an Accountant to join their team in the retail/services sector.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to assist in the efficient management of accounting transactions. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Accountant and be responsible for performing various accounting and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Create invoices and maintain customer records according to company practices.
  • Provide internal support for the sales organization.
  • Prepare general ledger operations and journal entries.
  • Collaborate with external service providers to ensure smooth execution of daily tasks.
  • Participate in monthly closings and prepare reconciliation files.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Organize and track archives for the accounting department.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in accounting or possess equivalent professional experience.
  • Be a recent graduate or have 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting.
  • Be fluent in English and French. Proficiency in any other market language is a plus.
  • Have practical knowledge of Microsoft applications and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Have a genuine interest in gaining in-depth knowledge of financial IT systems.
