We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of our customers.

Job Summary
  • Provide 1st/2nd level support for industrial environments, ensuring timely resolution of faults and issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees experiencing computer-related problems.
  • Monitor desktop infrastructure performance and suggest improvements to optimize efficiency.

This role requires a strong understanding of Information Technology trends, products, and solutions. Our ideal candidate will have at least 1+ year of experience in a similar position, supporting various technologies and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, create, and develop solutions in the industrial sector.
  • Elaborate and implement standards in industry areas and participate in concepts for the industrial IT environment.
  • Resolve software, hardware, and device issues reported by end-users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot PC connectivity issues and network elements, including ISP circuits, firewalls, network switches, wireless equipment, and telephone systems.
  • Implement and support remote access solutions (VPN).
  • Escalate service issues when necessary.
  • Communicate with customers/end-users, keeping them informed of incident progress and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
  • Monitor network performance for availability, utilization, and latency.
  • Oversee the maintenance and tracking of assets.
  • Advise and train staff on computer operations and software applications.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of Windows OS (Windows 10 & 11), Microsoft Office & Office 365 applications, PC/Laptop hardware, PC/Laptop peripherals, including printers, and mobile devices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange.
  • ITIL certification and familiarity with the Service Now ticketing system is an advantage.
  • GMP-/GxP knowledge is desired.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for customer satisfaction and delivering business values.
  • A service-oriented mindset and willingness to deliver on tasks and projects.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions and best practices.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken) communication skills.
  • Friendly, supportive, and flexible personality with quick learning ability.
  • Good team player with planning and organizing skills & multi-task.
  • Candidates must declare a criminal record extract not older than 3 months.
