About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Project Manager to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing large-scale, high-risk, strategic projects utilizing SAP Next Generation solutions and innovative technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project and program outputs to time, budget, and project quality criteria.
  • Manage SAP primed projects utilizing the SAP Field Services Project Management Methodology, which includes the proper use of methodology, tools, procedures, and governance to best meet project objectives.
  • Coordinate work between various parties, including third-party subcontractors, SAP Custom Development, and SAP Global Delivery.
  • Provide onsite presence for SAP as required to ensure effective project delivery.

Requirements

  • Above-average bachelor or master's degree in computer science, natural science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Several years of relevant job experience, e.g., professional experience as an SAP project manager or SAP architect.
  • Demonstrated experience of excellent IT project management competencies, including Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methods, and preferably broad experience in SAP project management.
  • Strong intercultural business and team skills, with proven ability to effectively manage a virtual, multi-cultural/cross-functional team.
  • Profound knowledge in at least one of the following technical domains: SAP infrastructure, integration, or development.
  • Solid knowledge about Cloud technology and migration concept from a technical perspective.
  • Ability to plan, run, and support workshops/meetings with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, across tenure, seniority, and organizations.
  • Experience in managing global, multi-shore delivery teams.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills, in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel (national & international).

The SAP Services team combines in-depth knowledge of the industry and extensive consulting experience with the latest management and methodological skills. The technology consulting area of SAP Services bundles technology expertise and is considered a methodical pioneer on the market. The "Technical Platform Orchestration" consulting unit aims to ensure the success of projects by filling key roles in project management and architecture consulting.
