The Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen is seeking a highly motivated and talented researcher to join the Excellence Cluster Cardio-Pulmonary Institute (CPI). As a PhD candidate, you will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art research environment, collaborating with leading scientists in the field of lung and heart diseases.

Research Focus:

  • Molecular and cell biological examinations of lung diseases
  • Investigation of genetic and epigenetic pathways leading to lung injury and repair
  • Disease modeling using precision-cut lung slices and organoids
  • Examinations performed in pre-clinical disease models using cutting-edge technologies

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in life sciences or a related field
  • Knowledge and experience in performing molecular and cell biological examinations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • High degree of responsibility and motivation
