Job Title: Energy Policy Expert

We are seeking an experienced Energy Policy Expert to join our team at GIZ International Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level technical assistance and policy advice to support the development and implementation of energy policies in Africa.

About the Job

The Energy Policy Expert will work closely with our clients to identify and address energy policy challenges, develop and implement energy policy frameworks, and provide technical assistance to support the development of energy markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement energy policy frameworks to support the development of energy markets in Africa
  • Provide technical assistance to support the development of energy policies and regulations
  • Work closely with clients to identify and address energy policy challenges
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the development of energy markets in Africa
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in economics, regulation, law, business administration, political science, public administration, engineering or a relevant field
  • At least 12 years of professional experience in the field of energy
  • Experience in policy and regulatory frameworks, energy markets, and energy access
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
