About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Performance Engineer to join our team in Berlin. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our database infrastructure to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.

Your primary focus will be on database performance testing, optimization, and security. You will work closely with our development team to identify and resolve performance issues, and collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with our cloud-based infrastructure.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate individual who is eager to learn and grow with our company. If you have a strong background in database administration, performance engineering, and cloud infrastructure, and are passionate about sustainability and climate tech, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database performance testing and optimization strategies
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve performance issues
  • Work with cloud infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and scalability
  • Develop and maintain database security and compliance policies
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in database administration, performance engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with database performance testing and optimization
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and database services
  • Strong knowledge of relational database systems and data security
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
