About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Performance Engineer to join our team in Berlin. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our database infrastructure to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.

Your primary focus will be on database performance testing, optimization, and security. You will work closely with our development team to identify and resolve performance issues, and collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with our cloud-based infrastructure.

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in database administration, performance engineering, and cloud computing. If you have a passion for coding, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-performance database architectures
  • Optimize database performance and efficiency through testing and analysis
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve performance issues and improve database security
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration with cloud-based infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain database performance metrics and monitoring tools
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in database administration, performance engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with database performance testing and optimization
  • Strong knowledge of relational database systems, such as PostgreSQL
  • Experience with cloud database services, such as Amazon RDS or Google BigQuery
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
