Senior Database Performance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Performance Engineer to join our team in Berlin. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our database systems to ensure high performance and scalability.
Your primary focus will be on identifying and implementing database requirements for new or existing components, working collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless integration. You will also be responsible for optimizing database performance and efficiency by evaluating and recommending new database technologies.
In addition, you will investigate performance issues and develop new workload strategies and testing methodologies to ensure our database systems meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
As a Senior Database Performance Engineer, you will work closely with our Head of Engineering and Engineering Leads to shape the product roadmap and help fellow team members with your experience and expertise.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in database administration, database performance engineering, or a similar role. You should have hands-on experience in database performance testing and optimization, as well as data security.
Experience supporting applications on a SaaS Cloud Infrastructure solution is also essential, as is extensive knowledge of relational database systems such as PostgreSQL. Ideally, you will have experience in cloud database services, like Amazon RDS or Google BigQuery.
