Head of Teaching Leadership

Key Responsibilities:

As the Head of Teaching Leadership at Lingoda, you will be responsible for leading the Teacher Management and Teacher Experience teams to evolve and deliver the Lingoda Teacher value proposition. This will enable us to attract the best teachers and scale our teacher pool to meet the needs of our growing business.

Key Performance Indicators:

Ensure student satisfaction scores and pass rates are maintained and improved over time.
Ensure that teacher performance is subject to continuous improvement via operational and product improvement.
Identify opportunities to improve the student and teacher experience and influence product innovation accordingly.

Requirements:

Strong educational experience, preferably leading an online or offline language learning school.
Strong experience in successfully managing teachers to deliver demonstrable quality at scale, including teacher recruitment, training, retention, observation, scheduling, and continuous improvement.
Analytical mindset and forecasting skills to work with the data team in managing teacher resources and preventing shortages.
Strong leadership & management skills that motivate teams and win respect.
An entrepreneurial mindset, capable of making things happen and making decisions within a strategic framework working towards agreed OKRs/ KPIs.
A hands-on approach with attention to detail.
Confident and decisive, supporting decisions and gaining support with insight and analyses.
Basic understanding of labour law in regards to teacher workforce.
Experienced C2 level in German; fluency in English.
