Master's Thesis in Surface Technology: Sapphire SLE Process Development

In the field of surface technology, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to work on the development of a Sapphire SLE process. This project offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with the Chair for Laser Technology at RWTH LLT and the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing experiments on the SLE laser processing system, conducting stress measurements using polarisation contrast microscopy, and developing a suitable process strategy for the production of 3-dimensional sapphire components.

Key requirements include a degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, or a comparable field, as well as a strong interest in working on a challenging and highly topical subject in a dedicated team.
