Advanced Materials Researcher: Surface Technology and Shape Ablation

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our team at the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT. The successful candidate will work on a thesis project focused on the development of specialized inks for the spray application of corrosion protection layers on bipolar plates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature research on ultrasonic spray application and ink development requirements
- Develop and produce specialty inks
- Investigate physical properties of inks
- Examine the influence of ink components on spray application
- Coat bipolar plates with optimized ink formulation and adapted spray parameters
Requirements:
- Studying materials science, chemistry, or a comparable degree program
- Interest in practice-oriented final thesis
- Interest in technical problems
- Responsible and structured way of working
